A Les McDonald Award

The A. Les McDonald Award for Innovation & Excellence in Respiratory Care & Education was created in 2004 to honour the late Les McDonald, who served as Executive Director from 1994 to 2004. Les was also honoured as the very first recipient of this award for a long and distinguished career as a health educator.

This award is designed to recognize a healthcare professional who has made an outstanding contribution to respiratory care & education locally and/or internationally through their practice and/or research.
